somersault FUNdraiser program - charity guidelines

somersault events

Somersault events are community sport, recreation and fitness events organized primarily for the recreational enjoyment of participants of all ages and stages. Participants are the first priority.

charity policy

Somersault events are organized for the participants. However, they also offer interesting fundraising and promotional opportunities for community charities, not-for-profit groups, and youth programs who are willing to make a commitment to the participant experience.

We offer a multi-charity concept called the "Somersault FUNdraiser Program", which allows organizations to participate in and benefit from Somersault events.  The FUNdraiser program allows a recognized community charity, club, program, school, or organization to develop a fundraising pledge program within a Somersault Series event. Preference is given to groups that share our interest in active health, physical activity, recreation, and the sport needs of children, and their families; keys, we believe, to a healthy Canadian society.

Organizations that participate in the "Somersault FUNdraiser Program" are expected to contribute to the event in some way (e.g. providing volunteers), in return for the privilege of using the event to promote and optionally to raise funds for their cause. The FUNdraiser Program is open to more than one charity per event, however we reserve the right to limit the number of community organizations involved in any one event.

We are proud to be contributing to the healthy active lifestyles of families through Somersault events.

If your organization is interested in the "Somersault FUNdraiser Program", please contact us at info@somersault.ca.

an invitation to your group
Somersault invites your organization to use a Somersault event to raise funds and gain profile for your programs.  Schools, clubs and non-profit organizations will find the "Somersault FUNdraiser Program" designed to provide a participatory fundraising opportunity that is enjoyable and healthy. There are 3 main elements to the program.

  • Club of the Event Program
  • Pledge Program
  • Donation Program

club of the event program
You provide volunteers to work at the event, for which we make a contribution to your organization*. This contribution varies depending on the nature of the work force provided. Please contact us at info@somersault.ca if you would like to discuss your group's involvement.  *This option at select events

pledge program

We provide your organization with the opportunity to include a fundraising pledge form on the event site, with personalized event specific pledge forms for your fundraising use, and a link to your organization's web site(s).  You receive directly, and retain, every penny you raise through the pledge program. It is an active, fun, risk free way to raise funds for your cause.  And the cost?  Your group providing volunteer support to the event (TBD event by event)

donation program
We provide your organization with the opportunity to have its name listed on the donation box included on the online entry form. Fundraising organizations must provide their own staff/volunteers to accept donations and pledges. Somersault will not accept donations or pledges on behalf of participating organizations.  This opportunity is available to those who are part of the “club of the event” or “charity of the event” program – to raise donations through participation in and providing volunteer bodies to the event.
Please contact us at info@somersault.ca to discuss your group's interest in these programs. We invite children, youth, and family/active living community organizations to contact us regarding these opportunities.
