Winterman is a quintessential Canadian event held in the heart of Ottawa’s national capital region. For years particpants have braved the cold to tackle a run challenge that is uniquely Canadian. Winterman is family friendly and features a variety of distances suitable to all ages and ability levels.

Directions & Parking
Parking in and around the Innovation Centre is free on weekends (please be respectful of any posted signs pertaining to parking).  There is a small lot for parking, but we recommend scouting out side streets (where legal).

Race Day Sunday *Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway will be closed as of 6 am.  Please plan your drive accordingly.

Morning Warm Up In The RBC Foundary
We are working to bring you morning beverages to start you off and warm you up after your run.  Stay tuned as we will update as we work acquire a sponsor for this.

Course Description
The run courses are loops on the Sir John A. MacDonald Parkway

Marathon & Relays: 5.274K loop x 8
Half Marathon: 5.274K loop x 4
10K: 2.5K loop x 2
5K: 2.5K loop x 1
3K: 1.5K loop x 1

*2, 4, or 8 person relays available

Aid Station Information
There will be two aid stations on the 5 Km loop.

Aid Station #1 will be out on the Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway (location TBC)

Aid Station #2 will be at the finish line/relay exchange/loop area in front of the Innovation Centre

Water and sport drink available at both aid stations.

Gels will also be available at the aid stations to marathoners and half-marathoners.

Please exercise caution as you approach and pass aid stations. It may get icy around them.

There are first aid stations at the half/marathon turn around and inside the Innovation Centre

Course Closure
All participants must have successfully completed their event by 2:00pm, allowing 5.5h for participants to complete their chosen event.
